books yet to read gameplan
This year, I’m making an effort to read several of the books I already own but haven’t read yet. This is because I have an entire book case packed tight with them, even though I did go through and clean out a handful that I know I’ll just never bother to read. I also went through my other overstuffed bookshelves and donated about two dozen books I’ve read that I just don’t need/want cluttering up my shelves. Like Jodi Piccoult’s My Sister’s Keeper. I hated that book more than any other book I’ve ever read; why would I want it displayed on my shelves?
I’m digressing.
I know there are tons of new books out there that I should be reading, but I just have such a huge collection amassed over the years from my time at B&N and now my time in publishing that there are just too many that I still need to go through. This includes a good number of books I’ve received as gifts too, and I really should read them.
So what I’m planning for the first part of 2013, at least, is to go through some of those books I have lying around. Starting with the ones in the pretty graphic I made to go with this post. Then I’ll move on. (Or, actually, I might be reading Richard Castle’s Frozen Heat next, as it has FINALLY come in for me at the library; I’ve only had it on request since October.)
The question right now is … which one do I start with?
