This Blog
I began this blog in April 2010 in the hopes of chronicling my writing and publishing journey. Since then, it has become more a home for me on the web, a place for me to gather my thoughts about the books I’m reading, post my photography, and share my faith. In September 2010, I moved from Pittsburgh, PA to New York City to embark on a new journey: a job in publishing. My writing has taken a backseat recently to other aspects of my life as I work and learn and grow into a publishing career. Also, my faith and belief as a Christian has played a major and further part of my life.

About Me
My name is Sarah, I’m a twenty-something originally from Pittsburgh, PA. For two years, I lived in Orange County, CA for graduate school, where I earned both an MA in English and an MFA in Creative Writing. After 3+ years as a Children’s and Young Adult bookseller and a year as Director of Youth at my church, I am embarking on an entirely new adventure — a job in publishing in New York City. Currently, I work as an online marketing associate for a major publishing house.
What You Will Find on This Blog
Book reviews, mostly in the Young Adult area, but also in romance, Christian fiction, memoir, and literary fiction. You might find some science-fiction (mostly time travel) or middle grade. Sometimes you’ll find non-fiction. I’m an eclectic reader who will basically pick up anything that looks interesting. If you want a book rec or you have a book rec, please don’t hesitate to share.
I may also share my photography here, usually on Fridays. Many of these photos will be of my cat, Lola, who you can see over on the sidebar.
I might also write about my life, about New York City, about food and restaurants. I want to share things that matter to me, so my blog may, at times, be all over the place. As its title suggests, I am a writer, a reader, and a dreamer. And as this is my blog, it’ll be about me and anything I feel like sharing
Lately and most importantly, entries about my walk in faith as a Christian. I believe what Jeremiah 29:11 states: I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. And I try to live my life in Christ, for Philippians 4:13 states that I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
Book Review Disclaimer
The views expressed in this blog are my own. They have not been approved or reviewed by my employer. Furthermore, all books reviewed on this personal blog were read for pleasure and not in any professional capacity. I will not review any book on which I am directly working, have worked, or potentially will work. Other reviews are personal opinion, regardless of publishing house. Many of the books I review I own, others I have checked out of the library, and some I have read on NetGalley, and sometimes I pick up galleys or advanced copies of books. However, I am not compensated for my reviews. Thank you.
