I ought to put a disclaimer on this review for two reasons.
1. I am a writer and I tend to read things and respond to things quite a bit from a writer’s POV rather than a reader’s. That is, I look at the writing and the character and development and think of the book I’m reading in terms of everything I’ve learned in my tenure as a student of writing.
