Well, it’s officially all over. Final movie seen. Ready for a re-read come August. More information to come soon.
I shared my Julia Quinn bookshelf the other day. Today I was going through photos to update and schedule on my photoblog, and I came across this photo from a while back. See, even my kitty Lola loves Julia Quinn!
I took a bunch of photos of all my bookshelves last night for no other reason than to play with my camera, which is something I haven’t done enough lately. I took photos of my two living room bookcases — all the books I’ve read, organized in various and slightly anal ways. Also, my Julia Quinn books (to be shared another day), and my YA bookcase.
But today, I’m sharing with you my bookcase of books I have yet to read. Yes, this entire bookcase is filled with my to-be-read books. Sure, I have my goodreads to-read shelf, but this is the physical manifestation of that:
Are any of my books on your shelf? Have you read any of them? Do you have a photo of your to-be-read shelf to share?
This is not so much a book review as a story of me and a book.
I first read The Witch of Blackbird Pond as an independent project in 6th grade—extra work awarded for being “gifted.” I read the book and made a diorama or two, and I guess I must’ve made a presentation to the class. I don’t really remember because the book didn’t make much of an impression on me at the time. The diorama of my memory lacks a certain interestingness and I don’t imagine I had any great insights to offer on the book. I wasn’t graded on the project and I remember having a vague wondering sense of what was that for?
