    Pumpkin Spice Cookies
    Original recipe from Betty Crocker

When I originally did this recipe, I saved it for the fall. Because fall means pumpkin season! In the fall everything that tastes like pumpkin. And I had been. I tried a pumpkin cupcake from CRUMBS, pumpkin frozen yogurt from pinkberry, and of course your normal pumpkin spice creme-based frapp from Starbucks. I guarantee I’ll be making it again this fall.

This was one recipe I was looking forward to trying. I originally found it on someone’s blog, and when I printed it out, it says it’s a Betty Crocker recipe. I followed it fairly well.

This is in spite of the fact that I absolutely love waffles. And this truck.

I am a great fan of Shake Shack, a burger place with a few NYC locations that I’ve written about before.

Now, a few months ago, I was watching an episode of “Best Thing I Ever Ate” on the Food Network, one about eating foods “on a stick.” Claire Robinson was talking about the best corn dog she’s ever eaten, and I paid attention because I am a corn dog fan. In fact, a corn dog is one of my Disneyland staples (along with sourdough bread bowls and Dole pineapple whip). So I’m watching and drooling over the corn dog when I realize — hey! I recognize that logo! That’s Shake Shack! Waitjustaminute — Shake Shack has corn dogs?! Before I could even get the site up on my computer, Claire says that the Shack has them three times a year: Memorial Day weekend, the 4th of July, and Labor Day weekend. So I put it on my Google calendar. Yes, seriously.
